Over the past few weeks, Paul has been bringing home the most amazing flowers from the Cenada.
He used to just bring them home and put them in a vase of water for me and we would enjoy them for 1 – 2 weeks.
But the bundle of flowers started to come with more and more variety of flowers. Flowers that really needed to be arranged, otherwise you couldn’t truly appreciate them.
So I gave flower arranging a shot and found that I really enjoyed the creativity it unleashed in me. I especially enjoyed this Thanksgiving bouquet.
As I started to craft this bouquet, GingerSnap asked if she could give it a try. So I let her. She did so well that she made a second bouquet with the extra bouquet Paul got that day (2 for $6 – not a deal he could pass up). GingerSnap gave it to our neighbor and they thoroughly enjoyed receiving it.
This week Curly Cook wanted to give it a shot. There were Gerber Daisies and Gladiolas. Two of my favorites.
They were an easy first class for Curly Cook!
Well done Curly Cook!
Flower arranging is one of those simple pleasures of life that comes out of nowhere and becomes a gift to enjoy, not only for yourselves but for others. I am truly grateful that I get to have this opportunity and learn it with the resources that I have in Costa Rica. I look forward to being able to use this gift in others parts of this world, with flowers that they have available to them. But I most look forward to watching my daughters have this gift as well.
What a joy this new gift is to me. Merry Christmas!
Thanks for listening,
