Sunday and the Priesthood

Hey guys! It’s Joy Boy writing. This is my first blog post ever! My mom had a little accident, which lead to her original blog for today getting deleted. But then she had a prompting to have me write it. So that is what I am doing.

Today was a great Sunday. It all started with the usual hustle to get into the car. At church we started with a song and a prayer. But I just couldn’t wait. Why? Because today is the day I got the Aaronic Priesthood! Yes, the Priesthood. Now we have two priesthood holders in the house and one on a mission.

I received the Priesthood after church. After my dad said “Amen” I felt peace and love from Heavenly Father. After church I received a gift from my grandma, on my mom’s side. A beautiful tie.

After receiving the gift, I texted her. We had a nice conversation while Curly Cook, the Elders (who had come for lunch), and I went on a tour of the property we live on. We had lunch with the Elders. Unfortunately, I overdid it and ate too much. I felt sick.

Too much food!

After lunch I did my family history. Also I called my grandparents and told them the news. I am so grateful for this Sunday. Also my mom showed me a quote from Elder Jeffery R. Holland.

I truly feel this is true. I know Heavenly Father loves me and will help me in His own time. Love you all.

Sincerely,

Joy Boy
