Sibling Rivalry

Yesterday was a tough day in the mom department.

We had a terrible case of sibling rivalry, while I was trying to have a deep tissue massage in the other room. The massage therapist and I could hear EVERYTHING that was being said. I was mortified!

These two have been at it since they have known one another. They are only 19 months apart. 😬 πŸ₯΄

My favorite quote of Joy Boy’s, when he was littler was, “Chetzy, DON’T!” That is what Joy Boy said to Curly Cook ALL the time when she was little.

Curly Cook would then respond, with a crusty look on her face, “Doughn’t, Doughn’t, WEAR-IT!” Her version of telling Joy Boy to stop it. πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

These two have been teasing and . . .

Pranking each other for as long as they have know each other. But today they took it TOO FAR!!!

It broke my heart to listen to the way they were talking to each other in the kitchen. It wasn’t just the words they used, but their tone. It was hurtful and spiteful. It made me sad to think of them like this, especially when they usually have such AWESOME moments together!

They REALLY DO love each other! So why do they do this?

I have asked so many people about sibling rivalry over the years. Most say that they will eventually “grow out of it” one day. But I fear I can’t wait that long. I might just need to kick them out before that day ever comes. πŸ˜‰

Because the fighting has to STOP! πŸ›‘ βœ‹πŸ»πŸ€¨

Can’t we just all learn to get along? What does it have to take?

And poor GingerSnap. Day in, and day out, she is forced to listen to these two bicker with each other. πŸ€ͺ🀯πŸ₯ΊπŸ˜©

But then I was reminded, by my dear friend Kori, about these two. I had FORGOTTEN how much these two DIDN’T get along. But now they really are okay with one another. Dare I say that they even like hanging out with each other?!?!

So if it is possible for these two . . .

to FINALLY learn to get along with one another . . .

Then maybe, in a few more years, these two will too?!?!

Here’s to hoping, praying, fasting, serving, working, forgiving, repenting, and learning to do this SOONER than later!

Because I SURE DO LOVE these kiddos of mine! But their bickering is driving us all crazy! 🀯😀πŸ€ͺ😭.

Thank heaven this is a part of being a family. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜˜β˜ΊοΈ

Happy Friday,
