Fantasy General Conference

This conference weekend went by pretty quickly. I think it was because we had a little help from a fun new game called Fantasy General Conference.

We received this game from Paul’s brother and his wife, Sunday night during FHE (family home evening via Skype). Our family immediately filled out our guesses so that we were ready to go Saturday morning. 🎉

Even our two friends, who spent the weekend with us, joined in on the fun. Paul did pretty great, he was in the lead all weekend.

Until the very last minutes of Conference when the new temples were announced. Then I won.

Wendi – 95 points

Paul – 75 points

GingerSnap and Sarah – 65 points

Curly Cook – 60 points

Fran and Joy Boy – 35 points

What was the prize? Money marks towards our trip to Utah that is coming really soon! Our poor friends didn’t win anything. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m a terrible hostess. Oh well. I’ll do better next time. At least everyone got plenty to eat and snack on all weekend. As well as plenty of “session treats.”

This year the kids had: Lucky Charms, Sour Patch Kids, Sour Skittles, and M&M’s (in that order). Plus homemade chocolate chip cookies, BBQ ribs, twice baked potatoes, sub sandwiches, chips, relish tray, fruit, and still more leftover candy.

There really should be no complaints!

Because we really enjoyed our weekend!

Curly Cook had fun playing with Peaches.

GingerSnap enjoyed having a friend over.

Joy Boy enjoyed snuggling up on the couch, next to mom, while taking notes or sketching in his notepad.

And I enjoyed all the great company and conversation we had in our home. It made for an excellent weekend! Now to re-listen to what we have gained this weekend, and then apply it to my life.

Happy Sabbath Day,
