We slept in this morning and took our time starting our day. That is a true vacation!!!!!Our leftover banana cake was super yummy and a tremendous blessing to have waiting for the kids when they were ready to eat.
After some sunscreen and long pants were put on, the kids enjoyed a special moment with their Dad . . .
They took a walk together and enjoyed a few minutes taking photos by this amazing waterfall.
I can see the excitement in their faces, because they were patiently waiting to go . . .
Horse Back Riding!!!! They LOVE this activity SO MUCH! They talk about doing this all the time . . .
And it makes me SO HAPPY that they can do this with their Dad!! (Because I really don’t enjoy doing this. Not at all. 👎🏻)
I especially couldn’t wait to hear if this little one got to ride her dream horse, Pacito. Thankfully she did and her dreams did come true. Everyone had a FANTASTIC time because the tour guide remembered our family from 4 years ago and he felt he could trust the family to responsibly “run” the horses. He took them to an open area and let them run to their hearts content. (Yes, they were saddle sore the next day, but boy did they have a blast!)
After an enjoyable conversation combined with a delicious lunch (Curly Cook had the cutest Gatorade mustache 😉), and a certain birthday girl’s favorite movie was watched, we drove over to visit our friends that lived nearby. We enjoyed the afternoon swimming, talking, sun-bathing, eating drive-thru take-out, and . . . riding their 4 wheelers.
Joy Boy especially enjoyed this activity! He still hasn’t stopped talking about it. Paul and I then took a little date to our friend’s sand quarry and had a ball learning all about their mining business. Then it was time to head on back to where we were staying.
We were tired and worn out, but that makes for the BEST kind of sleep!! Am I right?
