Today was hard. Okay, maybe difficult would be a better word to use. But either way, Paul and I have incredible kids.
They have been so supportive, so hopeful, so obedient, and so open minded with all the changes that are going on in our lives this year, that it broke our hearts tonight to not be able to celebrate finding a home today.
Like I shared yesterday, the choices are slim, and again, the competition is steep. The house we toured today had 2 appointments before us and 2 afterward. The landlord was willing to entertain our rental offer (seriously folks! This is for rent, not for sale!!!) . . . but they want a 3 year contract. 🤦🏻♀️
So instead of feeling down in the dumps all night, we followed Joy Boy & Curly Cook over to the stables for a night time ride with 2 of the B family’s horses.
This experience was just what we needed to get our mind off of the disappointment, looming deadlines, living expenses, and frustration we were all feeling. The horses truly were stress therapy for us all.
I’m also truly thankful for our weekly Come Follow Me lessons. They are timely, insightful, repentance encouraging, and hope-filled truth that we are not lost, forgotten, being punished, or without hope.
I also appreciate others who are willing to get out there and share that they too are struggling, but instead of throwing in the towel, they too are seeking God’s light to buoy them up and help see them through life’s ups and downs.
Once again, I have to say . . . “God be thanked for the matchless gift of His Divine Son,” as well as for the third member of the Godhead. The Holy Ghost means everything to me right now. I’m so very grateful for His influence and the positive impact He has in my life. 💕
He is the Comforter (John 14:26). As the soothing voice of a loving parent can quiet a crying child, the whisperings of the Spirit can calm our fears, hush the nagging worries of our life, and comfort us when we grieve. The Holy Ghost can fill us “with hope and perfect love” and “teach [us] the peaceable things of the kingdom”The Holy Ghost
