RV Trip Day #5 – Lake Tahoe with Deb’s Family

We woke up this morning feeling rested, but we needed to get on our way quickly! We had fun plans for the day and it included getting our family pictures taken. 📸

We left around 7:30 am (8:30 am Utah/Costa Rica time) and drove an hour to Lake Tahoe!

We were instantly blown away by its beauty!!!! We set up camp on the beach and then we were immediately whisked away to take our family pictures with my dearest friend Deborah. In true Deborah fashion, we each had a ball and we all loved how the pictures turned out!

After picture taking was over, it was time to just sit and RELAX!!! ⛱☀️⛱☀️⛱

We each enjoyed playing in the brisk mountain lake water, while loving on my friend’s 3 little princesses. GingerSnap especially latched onto this little bundle of JOY! The paddle boarding was a favorite activity, as well as digging in the rocky sand.

And before our time playing at Lake Tahoe came to a satisfactory end, Paul and I each braved the brisk waters for a prodded-on swim out to the buoy and back. WE DID IT and we didn’t have a heart attack!!! 😅

Then we wrapped up our delightful day by sharing dinner together at a very yummy pizza joint that gave us extra special service by giving each child at our table a ball of pizza dough, on a plate with some flour, to roll out and play with. The pizza was also divine! The perfect end to a perfectly delightful day at Lake Tahoe!

Paul decided to take the “longer route” back to our RV, via California. It was only 10 more minutes and proved to be worth the time. Such beauty!

We even arrived back to the RV with enough time to clean up and get a few things completed around the RV. That felt great! Then we tucked the kids into bed, so Paul and I could visit one more time with my dear friend and her husband, Brian.

Have I even mentioned that Brian is the BEST! He pulled out all his woodworking tools to help us make a drawer in the RV more stable, as well as reconfigured an outside porch outlet so we could plug into their power for the night.

He then INSISTED we not go to bed but instead visit a bit more with he and his wife. I know how tired they had to be after they hosting our family for the day, lending us their car for the day’s trip, and providing us breakfast and lunch for the day. 😍🥰😍 We truly felt so loved and so cared for!

After our loving visit, we turned in for the night, but not until Brian quickly brought us out the edited pictures Deborah took of us that very day, also a gift. Seriously! Can we say The Whitchurch Family is being RICHLY BLESSED!!!

I’ll have to do a post soon, sharing about all those who have felt prompted to help my family and I. We have been literally in the hands of God since Paul lost his job. I hope to always remember these tender mercies! I guess it is a good thing I’m blogging about this as it happens. Too much has happened since March to remember this all. But this blog can tell our story for sure!

Happy Tuesday,
